#FIREFOX POPUPS NOT BLOCKED INSTALL#
Most adware will install itself to start on boot. * View your Windows 7 and disable any that you do not want starting on boot. * Look through your list of Windows installed programs and manually uninstall any that you think might be involved. It is possible that a rogue add-on is causing the problem. * View your Firefox Add-ons and ] any that you didn't install yourself. You can see that the description at the top says: "You can specify which websites '''are''' allowed to open popups." Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings Your bookmarks, history etc will be saved but you will need to reinstall any add-ons. This returns Firefox to its default settings. The easiest way would be to do a Firefox Reset. Once all malware is removed you may still see popups until all modified Firefox settings have been fixed.
These are free and work alongside your existing anti-virus software:įurther information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article. Then try a couple of extra malware/virus scans.
